“Exposition Tax” and “Lady Koi-Koi” are BSFA Finalists!

Award season is upon us, and it is with great pleasure that “Exposition Tax: The Hidden Burden of Writing from the Margins” (Ex Marginalia, Hydra House) and “Lady Koi-Koi: A Book Report” (Apex Magazine Issue #138) have been shortlisted in the BSFA Awards!

Nominated in the Best Short Nonfiction category, “Exposition Tax” examines the challenges marginalized authors face in the world of publishing such as trying and failing to appeal to the majority while honoring the minority. “Lady Koi-Koi”, nominated in the Best Short Fiction category, is a unique retelling of a well known Nigerian myth of a monster who haunts the halls of boarding schools.

It is an honor to be recognized amongst other amazing authors. Voting is open to all BSFA members and attendees of Levitation (Eastercon) until 23:59 BST on Friday the 29th of March. Click the button below for further details at the BSFA website.
