Book Launch: Lost Ark Dreaming by Suyi Davies Okungbowa
Join Suyi Davies Okungbowa at the launch of his latest book, Lost Ark Dreaming. @ 5PM on Saturday, June 1 at the Ottawa Art Gallery as we celebrate a story described as "an imaginative work of climate fiction", "epic-on the inside" and "a surreal fusion of African politics, climate fiction, and mythology in the tongue of poetry and philosophy."
The event will feature a short reading, a short chat, and a book signing (supported by beloved Ottawa local, Perfect Books). In-between, there will be games, a cash bar and lots of intermixing! Feel free to bring a friend or family along. I look forward to seeing you there.

Entrances: 50 Mackenzie King Bridge or 10 Daly Ave; take your pick.

Suyi Davies Okungbowa is a Nigerian author of fantasy, science fiction and general speculative work. He has published various novels for adults, the latest of which are Warrior of the Wind and Son of the Storm—both of The Nameless Republic epic fantasy trilogy—and the forthcoming Lost Ark Dreaming. His debut novel, David Mogo, Godhunter, won the 2020 Nommo Award for Best Novel. His shorter works have appeared in various periodicals and anthologies and have been nominated for various awards. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona, and lives in Ontario, where he is a professor of creative writing at the University of Ottawa.
